Italy 21 vs 34 France
- Italy are a much-improved team: The Italians finished rock-bottom of this competition last year but are looking much better this time around and already have a win on the board.
- France win again but are being pushed more than they'd like: France now carry a perfect record into their do-or-die match with England but it hasn't all been plain sailing; they have come close to defeat against Ireland and were mired for long periods of this game. They'll have to clean some things up for next week.
England 59 vs 7 Scotland
- This was not close at all: England were at their clinical best in the first half against their Northern neighbours in a first-half which was a brutal demonstration of the difference between England and their supposed rivals
- Scotland are improved but still have a ceiling: That ceiling is mainly due to power. They simply couldn't get a fot in the door in this game as England ran over them constantly in an unwanted reminder of their superiority.
- The Red Roses are still struggling to put together a consistent 80-minuted: The first half against Ireland, second half against Italy and first 20 against Wales were all dodgy but it never mattered because they are so much better and were able to make those mistakes. Even with a dodgy half, they should beat France but the Pacific is home to some big dangers that England can't afford to have fourty minutes off against in a World Cup knockout game this summer.
Wales 14 vs 40 Ireland
- Ireland stamp their authority as a top-half team: The Irish
