The PWR has experienced a surge in interest in the aftermath of the Rugby World Cup last year and has used the momentum to accept offers of interest from multiple parties to add a 10th team to the competition. This is in addition to expected renewed investment from Leicester into their women's team after it was left to wither at the bottom of the table this year.

The penultimate round of the Six Nations lacked close encounters but did make the final round of games very interesting. England need to answer some questions about their defence. Scotland need to bounce back after 3 heavy defeats. Ireland have to secure 3rd to avoid this campaign being a total disappointment. Can France take advantage of a heavily-injured England team to reclaim their title? Can Sean Lynn get Wales's first win in almost a year? Can Italy separate themselves from the bottom 2? Here are the scores that set up those questions:

England have won the last 7 Six Nations Championships and are the favourites to top the table in 2026. Add a World Cup victory to their 7th successive Six Nations title and this team looks formidable. They have depth across the board, even without several big stars who are either pregnant or injured. Scott Mitchell and his players have made it clear that this team is going to continue to evolve their style and personnel over the course of this cycle, so there could be some growing pains, but it's difficult to look past the Red Roses for this title.
Welcome to 'All Things English Rugby', your go-to source for comprehensive coverage of English rugby union. My blog is dedicated to providing fans and enthusiasts with the latest updates, detailed match analysis, and insights from the English Premiership. I understand the passion and excitement surrounding the sport, and my mission is to bring that same intensity to my readers through engaging content. With this blog I aim to introduce new fans, or fans who only watch international rugby, to English rugby more generally. Once fans learn more about the teams, I want to provide a cohesive narrative of the premiership season to keep audiences engaged in the game every week rather than only during the Six Nations Championship.
