The Six Nations kicks of later this month and Steve Borthwick will soon announce his squad to go for a rare grandslam. Here is who I think he should select for his squad and why.

The Rugby World Cup draw for the 2027 World Cup took place on the 3rd of December this year. It was done 2 years in advance of the actual tournament but has still been the cause of excitement across the globe. This is the first edition of the tournament to be contested by 24 nations (up from 20) which means that there will be an added knockout round as well as more jeopardy for "Tier 2" nations in the groups. Here are some of the biggest winners and losers from the draw.

The HSBC SNS World Series is the annual rugby sevens competition that is contested by the top nations in the World. The men's and women's competitions run in tandem and are played at the same time. This year will be the first season after a controversial shake-up by World Rugby which was intended to make the game more sustainable. These changes have been widely derided, and it remains to be seen if they are to be successful, but I'll try to explain exactly how things will look going forward. 

Steve Borthwick's men continued their winning streak with a 33-19 win over the All Blacks whilst Scott Robertson will have a lot of questions to answer in New Zealand. Here are 3 headlines from an epic game of rugby.

England started their Autumn Nations campaign brilliantly with a 25-7 win over Australia. This week the test window truly opens and England will be taking on Fiji. To many this is the game that England are expected to win comfortably but it would be foolish to overlook their opponents this weekend. Fiji qualified automatically for the 2027 World Cup with their performance in 2023 and were one of only 12 teams to do so. During that year they took on England twice. The first of those games was a warm-up for the World Cup in an unusually empty Twickenham with England at a low ebb. Things only got worse for the home team as Fiji managed to pull off an upset to record their first ever win over England. The two teams met once again in the quarter-finals of the ensuing tournament and England only won very narrowly. Borthwick's men now look like a much better team, but Fiji are not to be taken lightly.
