France come into this tournament as many people's favourite. They have incredible depth as well as a host of stars. Antoine Dupont also returns to the Six Nations this year having spent the second half of last season playing 7s which ultimately ended with a gold medal at  home Olympics. Le Garrec and Lucu were excellent in his place, highlighting the depth this squad possesses. France also have the advantage that they are no longer suffering from World Cup hangover which lead to a poor showing early on, particularly against Ireland which scuppered their chance of a Grand Slam before they even got started. This is basically a full strength France squad which will be expecting to go all the way this year. Their physicality sets them apart from the competition. Gael Fickou is injured and Damian Penaud is unavailable for the first game.

Player to watch

Antoine Dupont. He is the best player in the world and will surely light up this tournament, particularly now that he jas been reunited at the international level with his domestic halfback partner, Romain Ntamack who also returns having missed last year's edition.
