Ellis Genge 6
Brought his usual power and leadership to the game but occasionally struggled in the scrum and had little overall impact.
Luke Cowan-Dickie 6
The set piece was better but he made minimal impact in the loose which is normally his forte.
Will Stuart 8
He is now one of the first names on the team sheet and is performing well, consistently. Another strong performance from a man who is surely now in contention to be a Lion this summer.
Maro Itoje 7
A captain's performance. He was disruptive at the ruck, whether or not he was on his feet, and lead the team well. He now has a record of two wins from two as captain at HQ.
Ollie Chessum 7
Chessum underlined his importance to this team as a line-out option and carried well throughout.
Tom Curry 6
He went off early with injury but had a solid game before that.
Ben Earl 7
He played well in his second game in a row at number 8 and made a difference throughout.
Tom Willis 6
He unfortunately went off early with an injury. Hopefully he will be back soon as he has already provided some missing power to this team.
Alex Mitchell 5.5
This was his worst game for a while. The ruck speed was slow but he contributed to that and didn't make good decisions at speed. England lacked flow in attack and he was a part of that.
Fin Smith 7
Another solid game which included some excellent kicking from distance and some big shots in defence. This was a more challenging attacking game but he was solid and managed the game as well as he could given the pressure he was under. He was the best fly-half on a pitch that had Fin Russell which is a big deal for the young player.
Ollie Sleightholme 5.5
He never really got into the game. The flow of it was not suited to him. He ended up chasing kicks rather than getting his hands on the ball.
Henry Slade 6
A good game from Slade, if not a bit quiet. He seems to have a tendency to kick in attack quite often when it may not be necessary.
Ollie Lawrence 6.5
Another decent game in an England shirt for Lawrence who rarely got his chance to showcase his ability with the ball.
Tommy Freeman 7.5
He is now a solidified starter in this team and this game showed why. He was physical, dominant in the air and an overall nuisance for Scotland.
Marcus Smith 6
This game highlighted some of the problems with playing Marcus Smith at fullback. He was unable to compete in the air and did not get into the attack for most of the game. The whole point of playing him with FIn Smith is to attack expansively but that never happened in that game.
Jamie George 7
He seems to be a consistent member of the bench club now. His experience and set piece prowess are both invaluable in the final part of a game.
Fin Baxter 6.5
Made minimal impact but was solid when he came on.
Joe Heyes 5
Struggled a little but he wasn't terrible. Gave away a cheap penalty at the line-out.
Ted Hill N/A
Brought on right at the end. He wasn't given the chance to get into the game.
Chandler Cunningham-South 6
Brought good power to the game when he came on but didn't change the game.
Ben Curry 7.5
He has become a consistent star for his country whether he is starting or on the bench.
Harry Randall 4
His kicking was awful once again. His passing was good, however. What doesn't make any sense is why Borthwick outs Harry Randall on the bench then tells him to kick a lot and manage the game. If he wants to play that strategy, Ben Spencer or Jack Van Poortvliet are massively superior options.
Elliot Daly 6
He is a good squad player but is not a game-breaker at this point.
