Winners
Matt Fagerson
He was Scotland's best forward in the game and had consistently been a stand out player for Townsend's team. He was busy all game and was a thorn in France's side. The French power was ultimately insurmountable but Fagerson made a worthy effort.
Yoram Moefana
Moefana has been one of the best players of the 2025 Men's Six Nations. His try-scoring heroics on Saturday continued his run of impressive exploits over the past several weeks. He operates as a wrecking ball in midfield and is quickly becoming a key cog in the French machine.
Thomas Ramos
This was yet another world-class performance from the fullback. His goal-kicking was almost perfect. His attacking play cut Scotland open on multiple occasions and his kicking won France the territory battle despite FInn Russell being on the opposing team.
Losers
Peato Mauvaka
Had a dodgy game with lots of errors but he wouldn't have been allowed to make some of those errors if he had received adequate discipline for his bone-headed lunge at Ben White. After a minor scuffle near the French line, Ramos pushed the Scottish fullback over Mauvaka who then lunged at the head of White with his shoulder. The contact was not clean, and White made a meal out of it, but the fact that the whistle had already been clearly blown means that Mauvaka should have been given an old-fashioned red card.
Jean-Baptiste Gros
He struggled in the first half and was yellow-carded early in the second-half. He did not last long after his return.
