Scotland vs Wales
Kickoff: 2:45pm, Saturday 23rd August
Venue: Salford Community Stadium
Watch on: BBC ONE
This is, in my opinion, the most important fixture that will take place within this pool. These two familiar foes find themselves in with an opportunity of reaching the knockout rounds but will have to go through each other first.
Scotland will fancy their chances in this one having beaten Wales in four of their last five meetings, including earlier this year in a tightly contested encounter that ended with the Scots coming out on top with a score of 24-21. Three of those games have been won by less than a converted try and this game promises to provide more of the same drama.
So, where will this game be won? Well, Scotland will be looking to dominate at the breakdown which includes their captain, Rachel Malcolm, and their star player, Evie Gallagher. They are joined by Rachel McLachlan who rounds out the imposing trio. Wales will look to match Sotland's back row with co-captains, Kate Williams and Alex Callender. That will hopefully allow Wales to speed up the game with Keira Bevan dictating the tempo which then allows for Jasmine Joyce to wreak havoc on the Scottish defence.

Canada vs Fiji
Kickoff: 5:30pm (GMT), Saturday 23rd August
Venue: York Community Stadium
Watch on: BBC Iplayer
Canada will get their campaign underway on Saturday evening in the historic city of York. A strong side has been selected and it's one that should dismantle Fiji fairly comfortably. This game is about getting into the tournament and players sharpening up before taking on Scotland and Wales which are also games that Canada should win.
They may be huge underdogs but, how can Fiji cause Canada problems? Well, if Fiji are to compete, their performance will have to be led by the pack. In order to do this, Fijiana will have to rely on a couple of youngsters. In the second row, Mereoni Nakesa starts having already amassed 23-caps at just 22-years-old. She'll be joined by the team captain, Alfreda Fisher Maria, who is just 21-years-old with only 8-caps to her name. They are surrounded by experience but the next generation of Fijian stars will have to shine now in order to give their team a chance.
