Winners and losers from Italy 24 vs 73 France

Winners

Dupont

He hadn't quite reached his usual dizzying heights of greatness so far in this tournament. On Sunday that changed. He dominated the game, scoring two tries in the process. This was an annihilation and Dupont lead the charge. This will certainly give Ireland food for though going into the fourth round of games.

Attissogbe

Dropping Penaud was a big call but Attissogbe has proved his worth in both of the chances he has been given by Galthie. Penaud is clearly still in form; he scored for Bordeaux on the weekend instead of France. Has Attissogbe done enough to keep his place over Penaud.

Ramos

After Jalibert's underwhelming performance against England he was dropped by Galthie and replaced by Ramos. Ramos was magnificent at fly-half in the autumn and continued that level of performance in this game. It seems that he is now the clear number two fly-half to Ntamack when Ramos isn't playing fullback.

Losers

Penaud

As i mentioned above, Attissogbe played well against both Italy and Wales and is putting serious pressure on Penaud for the fourteen jersey. Penaud seems to have work to do in order to get back into Galthie's good graces.

Jalibert

Jalibert's situation bares some similarity to Penaud's - the difference is that his predicament is more serious. Jalibert was put on the naughty step in the autumn but was given a chance at Twickenham and didn't take it in the eyes of his coach. Ramos outplayed him when stepping into his position so Jalibert must feel that his shot at the 10 jersey is now hanging by a thread. And, if the 7-1 bench continues, there will be fewer places available for backs on the bench.

Quesada

That was not a good day for Italy. Quesada has had a very positive impact on this Italian squad but conceding 73 points is unacceptable - even for the Italy of Six Nations past. Quesada will now have to rally his troops for a big response away at Twickenham which has been anything but a happy place for Italian rugby players. Italy have never beaten England and if Sunday's performance is anything to go by, that will not change this year.
