Ellis Genge 7: Genge had a solid day at the office with good scrummaging and a few strong carries.

Jamie George 7.5: On a now rarer start, George was solid across the board and his line-out excellence was even more obvious when compared to that of Nicotera for Italy.

Will Stuart 8.5: Yet another excellent performance from Stuart who's now apparently added stepping to his game.

Maro Itoje 7: Another solid performance from Itoje who was everywhere during the game and is clearly coping with his added responsibility very well.

Ollie Chessum 9: Chessum was my player of the match. He was the best ball carrier on the pitch and was a monster at the set piece as well as on the bench.

Tom Curry 7.5: Another strong performer who is still deadly at the break down.

Ben Earl 8: It doesn't seem to matter what position he plays, Ben Earl dominates the game.

Tom Willis 8: Willis once again proved the value of having a traditional number 8 in your team. His power through the middle is curical to setting up England's more expansive attacks.

Alex Mitchell 8.5: This game from Alex Mitchell is a reminder of how good he is when not told to box kick constantly. He is superb at causing havoc around the break down and keeping up the tempo of attacks. His partnership with Fin Smith seems to massvely benefit England at the moment.

Fin Smith 8.5: FIn Smith is locking in his position in the 10 jersey. He once again ran the game with great control and created opportunities for the talents outside of him.

Ollie Sleightholme 8: Sleightholme's raw pace on the wing created an untold number of issues for Italy.

Fraser Dingwall 8.5: He took advantage of his opportunity and provided a lot of creativity that England had been lacking.

Ollie Lawrence 6: Lawrence looked good before unfortunately suffering what is feared to be a serious achilles injury.

Tommy Freeman 9: Freeman had the beating of Gallagher all game. He scored and created several chances by making breaks down the right flank.

Elliot Daly 8: Daly's return to the starting 15 was a rousing success. His move to 13 proved fruitful as he kept England's attacking play in control in a good way.

Luke Cowan-Dickie 7: He brought his usual power from the bench and maintained the solidity that George had provided in the first part of the game.

FIn Baxter 7: Showed good strength in defence with a last-ditch tackle on Zuliani. Elsewhere he was solid if unspectacular.

Joe Heyes 7: Heyes seems to be in the role that Will Stuart played for a couple of years before taking up a starting role. He is decent for England but fans will still be looking to the younger alternatives for the summer tour.

Ted Hill 6: He had a good charge down on a kick but wasn't given enough time to do anything else. He is a superb player but so far hasn't been given an adequate chance to prove his worth on the international scale.

Chandler Cunningham-South 6.5: A standard CCS performance when he came off the bench. He is a good bench option.

Ben Curry 8.5: Another strong showing from Ben who is now the in-form Curry for England.

Jack Van Poortvliet 8: Van Poortvliet did well on his return to the national team and is clearly a very natural fit for Borthwick going forward.

Marcus Smith 7.5: After much consternation was caused by the news of him being dropped to the bench, Smith actually ended up playing 70 minutes anyway due to an injury to Ollie Lawrence. Smith played well and had a lot of success find gaps in the Azzuri defence.
