The Lions have made several changes to the side that will now take on the Waratahs. Schoeman, Cowan-Dickie and Bealham all start in the front row with each of them needing a big performance to get into the team. In the second row, the Irish duo of Beirne and Ryan will look to put themselves properly into the reckoning after some underwhelming performances. By the end of this game Henry Pollock will have played each of the three back row positions on this tour and he has impressed in all of them. The half backs are the Northampton and England duo of Mitchell and Smith. There is also a familiar partnership in the centres with Scotland teammates Jones and Tuipulotu taing the field together. The biggest selection news comes in the back three. Keenan was in line to play his first game of the tour on Wednesay but missed out due to illness so starts at fullback today. On the wing, Kinghorn starts on the left where he often plays for Toulouse in a move that seems to be more about getting him some game-time more than anything else.

The Waratahs have several players missing for this game but can still cause some issues. Sualii, Gordon, Bell and Porecki are the biggest names to be missing. However, Kellaway and Tupou are available for this game and are joined by some other dangerous players.Darby Lancaster, the left winger, is absolutely rapid and a powerful player who can cause serious issues if the Lions don't tighten up their defence.
