Leicester Tigers vs Gloucester

Kickoff: 7:45pm, Friday 19th December

Venue: Mattioli Woods Welford Road

Watch on: TNT Sports 1

Key to the game: Can Gloucester find their mojo? There have been some back-room changes in Gloucester since their last Prem game with the decision to bring in a new director of rugby and move George Skivington back to the role of head coach. They are still yet to really get going this season but do now have some big players back in the side and are surely ready to earn a win. Leicester have been good overall, but have also been very inconsistent so this game is huge for Gloucester to kickstart their season before Christmas.

Northampton Saints vs Sale Sharks

Kickoff: 3pm Saturday 20th December

Venue: Cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens

Watch on: TNT Sports

Key to the game: Can Sale cope with some big absences? Northampton started this season missing almost an entire XV for several weeks due to a combination of Lions being rested and general injuries. Now it seems like they are relatively healthy and Sale are struggling with fitness. This has been a particular problem for the Sharks due to their lack of overall depth that has caused several players to have to start out of position. In this game Ernst Van Rhyn, who is playing in the back row, and Arron Reed, who is starting at fullback, will have their work cut out for them. Sale are also without the likes of: George Ford, Ben Curry Asher Opoku-Fordjour, Joe Carpenter, and Tom Roebuck. The Saints, meanwhile, have George Furbank and George Hendy back as well as some others which puts them in pole position to emerge victorious from this one.

Saracens vs Exeter Chiefs

Kickoff: 3pm Saturday 20th December

Venue: StoneX Stadium

Watch on: Discovery plus

Key to the game: Can Harvey Skinner keep up his good form? There were a lot of questions surrounding the fly-half position in Exeter going into this season but it seems like Harvey Skinner is finally turning into the kind of fly-half that Exeter hoped he would be. Going up against Owen Farrell in a head-to-head battle presents a very real challenge for the developing 10.

Harlequins vs Bristol Bears

Kickoff: 6pm Saturday 20th December

Venue: Allianz Stadium

Watch on: TNT Sports

Key to the game: Can Marcus Smith find his best form? For all of their collective efforts, the fate of Harlequins is determined by Marcus Smith alone. If he continues to be inconsistent from game-to-game, Harlequins will go nowhere. This is the first opportunity for Smith to make his mark after the European break and he will be highly motivated by playing in front of a huge crowd at the Allianz Stadium. This has the makings of a Marcus Smith masterclass. If that happens, the Bears are in trouble.
